Veterans Honor Hall

Oshkosh West hosted the Oshkosh High/West Veterans Honor Hall Commemorative Ceremony on Saturday, November 11th, 2017 in the Alberta Kimball Auditorium. The ceremony, titled “Welcome Home”, packed 1200 people into the auditorium to not only welcome our veterans home from service, but to welcome them back to Oshkosh West. Today we currently have 2067 names of veterans in the Veterans Honor Hall.

Honor Hall Information

The Oshkosh High/West Alumni Veterans Honor Hall is a located between the two cafeterias at Oshkosh West High School. The Honor Hall pays tribute to those who sacrificed their time and life to protect the freedoms we have here in Oshkosh, WI as well as the United States of America. Each veterans name is engraved on a plate and attached to the wall that memorializes their service. Many of these veterans were never welcomed home in an appropriate manner and thanked for what they gave up. That is why, today, we welcome all our veterans home and thank them for their service to our country and Oshkosh, WI.

Digital Veterans Honor Hall

A website has been created as a digital memorial for the world to see. All the names that are engraved on the Veterans Honor Wall at Oshkosh West High School can be found on the digital Veterans Honor Wall.

Help Nominate a Veteran

We Need Your Help! Oshkosh High/West does not have many records that show who served our country. The veterans who are currently on the Veterans Honor Wall have been nominated by their family and friends. If you know anyone who graduated from Oshkosh High School or Oshkosh West High School who served our country in one of the branches of the armed services please fill out the nomination form so proper tribute can be made.

Donate

An average of 20-25 names per week are being added to the Honor Hall at a cost of $3.00 per name. In order to continue adding those who served we need your help. We have transitioned our donation account over to an Oshkosh Area Community Foundation long-term fund titled: Oshkosh High/West Veterans Honor Wall. This will be a more secure account that will allow for cash, check, and credit card donations as well as allow us to grow the future of the Honor Wall.
