Summer School

OASD Summer School offers a variety of in-person and virtual classes for students entering kindergarten through high school, including athletic camps, music camps, and eAcademy options. While remedial courses are available, the majority of courses are designed to keep students thinking and exploring during the summer.

The OASD Summer School program offers more than 70 classes for students entering kindergarten through high school, including athletic camps, music camps, and eAcademy options. Extend the summer school day by signing your student up for the Oshkosh Recreation Department's Summer Playground Program. Summer Playground is held at 6 sites, including Jefferson, Oaklawn, and Traeger and it starts right after summer school lunch ends! See this link for more information.

OASD Summer School 2025 - Important Dates and Information

Online Registration Window: Begins in March 5 ends April 2
Elementary Summer School (students entering in grades K-5)
Note: Students register according to the grade they will enter in the fall. Example: a current 1st grader will register for classes open to students entering 2nd grade in the fall.
Locations: Jefferson Elementary, Oaklawn Elementary, Carl Traeger Elementary, Menominee Elementary
Dates: June 16 - July 17, Monday through Thursday. No School Thursday, July 3rd
Times: 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Non-OASD Students - Register Online (Ex: Private and Homeschool) Summer School Online Registration
- Select "Start New Registration"
- Select "Summer School"
Athletic, music and science camps may be held at other school sites
Elementary Students can select two courses and a bus. The exception will be Getting Ready for Kindergarten and Getting Ready for First Grade. These courses cover both time slots. In these cases, one course and a bus can be selected. Additional courses selected will be added to course request list as Alternates. It is highly recommended to choose at least one alternate class, Some classes do not run due to low enrollment.
Middle Summer School (students currently in grades 5-7)
- Note: Students register according to the grade they will enter in the fall. Current 5th grade students register for classes for students entering 6th grade in the fall.
Location: Vel Phillips Middle School
Dates: June 16 - July 17, Monday through Thursday. No School Thursday, July 3rd
Times: 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Athletic, music and science camps may be held at other school sites
Middle School Students can select two courses and a bus.
- Up to 5 Athletic and Music Camps can be selected. When selecting, please make sure that the dates and times of the camps and/or school course selections do not overlap.
- Additional courses selected will be added to Course Request List as Alternates. It is highly recommended to choose at least one alternate. Some classes do not run due to low enrollment.
High School Summer School (students Currently in Grades 9-12):
- Location: Oshkosh North High School - Door 1
  - Session 1
    - Dates: June 09 - June 27
    - Times: 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  - Session 2
    - Dates: June 30 - July 18; NO SCHOOL JULY 4
    - Time: 8 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.
- High School eAcademy Summer School:
  - Dates: June 09 - July 17; NO SCHOOL JULY 4
  - Flexible (daily login activity is required)
