Newsletter Week of October 21, 2019

The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) will be administered to West High Students the morning of Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 at the Oshkosh Convention Center on North Main Street. Students are required to provide their own transportation to the testing site. Students should have received the information in their English class. If not - the Counseling Office has additional registration forms. If you still want to register the last day to do so is Thursday, October 24th. We can test no more than 70 students; therefore, it is to the student’s benefit to register early. Please contact Rob Kerl, School Counselor, with any questions or concerns.

Every couple of years the West Parent Advisory Group spends one meeting providing information on college admissions and scholarships. We will have representatives from FVTC and UWO talking about what colleges look for in applicants. We will also have representatives from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and West High School sharing how students can look for and apply for scholarships. This is probably most relevant for parents of juniors and seniors, but anyone is welcome to attend. Here are the details:

Date: Monday, December 2
Time: 6:30-8:00 PM
Location: Little Theater at West (Park in the lot off of Southland Ave by the tennis courts, enter Door 1, and follow the signs that will be posted.)
