    • College Goal Wisconsin is a FREE event to get assistance completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Please visit: for more information about these events. 

  • Virtual College Visits (Seniors and Juniors): Because of COVID-19 safety protocols, representatives from colleges and technical colleges will not be visiting the building to meet with students.   • ACT Test Prep (Juniors): Juniors at West will take the ACT on March 9, 2021. Students who would like to participate in ACT Prep courses should visit the OWHS Counseling Website, where some of the local ACT prep opportunities are listed:

    • Select “Standardized Testing”

    • Select “Test Prep”

  • How to check grades in Canvas and Infinite Campus (All Grades): This link explains how to check grades in both Infinite Campus and Canvas: Access to Grades in IC and Canvas  

  • The October 29th PSAT/NMSQT at Oshkosh West has been cancelled and tentatively rescheduled for  Tuesday, January 26, 2021.   

  • More information on registering for the test will be sent out in early November.  It is possible that 10th grade students will not be eligible to take the test at West this year and that a limited number of students overall will be able to take the test.  It is impossible to predict what the situation will be like with the Covid 19 outbreak, but the health and safety of our students and staff will be priority one.  Thank you for your understanding during these difficult and unpredictable times.

Online scheduling for the 2021-2022 school year will be open on Tuesday, December 8th.  It will close at midnight on Monday December 14th.  Please watch your email on Tuesday, December 8th for further information that will be sent to you regarding this very important process.

It has been a long wait but we are finally ready to start winter sports competitions.  It will be great to see our student-athletes competing again.  Please note that each school district in our conference is handling fan attendance as a district based decision.  Oshkosh is currently not allowing fans to attend events and we will revisit having fans at events after Jan. 1, 2021.

All FVA schools will be live-streaming all varsity and some sub-varsity athletic events.   The OASD will be live-streaming all levels of our home athletic events.  The district has created a YouTube channel for each high school and the

explains everything you need to know about how our live streaming will work for our home events.  Also, below is the FVA website link that has all of the streaming information for the other FVA schools when we are away at their site. 

The boys and girls basketball teams play this Friday night (FR at 5:50pm, JV at 6pm and Var at approx. 7:30pm) and wrestling (7:45am match) and boys basketball (FR game at 1pm, JV game at 2:30pm and VAR game at approx 4pm) host Oshkosh North on Saturday.

Yearbooks are on sale until December 21st. They can be purchased at the school bank or ordered online (go to They are $55 until Christmas. We only pre order what has been paid for. If there are extras at the end of the year, they will be $60. Pre order early, because we’re never sure how many extras we’ll have!!

If you have a student in E Academy this year, and want them to be pictured in the yearbook, you can send a professional picture taken by someone else, (with a solid, simple background) to

Senior pictures were due October 23rd. If you did not submit one, please do that ASAP. We are looking for a head and shoulders, vertical pose; it’s okay if the pose is outdoors, or the student is wearing a hat, or holding a cat, just so it’s a head and shoulders, vertical pose. Those can be emailed to or a wallet sized photo can be brought to the yearbook office (W10). Email Amy Karoses with any questions.
