Parents/Guardians are asked to complete the Survey Link regarding Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in the Oshkosh Area School District (OASD). CTE is a broad term for education that combines academic and technical skills with the knowledge and training needed to succeed in today's labor market. The OASD currently offers CTE courses through the following departments: Agriculture, Business, Family and Consumer Science, Math, Science, and Technology and Engineering, Survey results are confidential and will be compiled by the College & Career Readiness Center at CESA6. OASD eAcademy 2022-23 Enrollment PeriodThe Oshkosh Area School District is pleased to announce the 2022-23 enrollment period for the District’s eAcademy, a fully online school for grades K-12. The enrollment period will take place from March 8 through March 28, 2022, at 3 p.m., which will allow students to enroll in eAcademy for the full 2022-23 school year. The Oshkosh Area School District eAcademy is a fully online school for grades K-12. eAcademy is partnered with the Wisconsin eSchool Network, which is a collaborative network of online programs throughout the state of Wisconsin. The program has been developed in collaboration with online learning experts and is based on years of research and best practices for excellence in virtual learning. Students who participate in the OASD eAcademy enjoy all the benefits of being an OASD student, including earning an OASD diploma and participating in extracurriculars, while receiving a customized, student-centered education that meets individual educational and social needs.

Interested in a career in Law Enforcement?
Do you have current juniors or seniors that are interested in a career in law enforcement or related career? The Wisconsin American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy (WALLECA) is the perfect experience for those students. This program of The Wisconsin American Legion is a 6 day academy held at the Wisconsin State Patrol academy at Ft. McCoy. The academy is scheduled for July 24 – 29, 2022. Cadets attend at no cost, as we are supported by valued sponsors. The cadets are housed at the dorms at the State Patrol Academy.
The academy consists of 26 female and 26 male cadets. The cadets are chosen from their applications that they submit. The link to the application is attached below. The application requires signatures from a parent, a school counselor and a law enforcement professional. We want students who are in good standing at their school and in their community as they are the future law enforcement professionals. The students who are chosen to attend will be notified in April.
The curriculum consists of fire arms training, physical training, ethics, crime scene investigation, arrest tactics, OWI enforcement, Department of Natural Resources, Human trafficking, and many more classes.
Many of our graduates are already working in law enforcement professions. They credit this academy with their success.

High School Rugby Clinic
The Oshkosh Recreation Department has partnered with the Oshkosh Youth Rugby Club to offer a coed rugby clinic for high school students to participate in introductory drills, meet the coaches of the boys' and girls' teams and ask questions. The clinic will be held Monday, April 4 from 7:00-8:30pm in the Recreation Gym. Cost is $5.00. Register at www.oshkoshrecdept.com. Find out why rugby is the fastest growing sport in the US today!
DodgeBALL Tourney!! This week - W hour!!
Students! There is a new opportunity to get a team together and compete! The last week before Spring Break there will be a school wide dodgeball tournament held in the gyms during an extended w hour time period! A form will be sent out soon to sign up but start getting a team together! The criteria is that a team has ten players with an even number of boys and girls! The tournament will work like March Madness and the winning team will receive trophies! Make sure to be looking in your inbox for a google form to sign up!
