COVID DATA AND SYMPTOMS
In an effort to track return to school dates for students, we would like you to continue to notify your student's school when they have symptoms or have been a close contact or a household contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID. Please either call the Health Office at 920-424-4090 option 4, the Attendance Office at 920-424-4090 ext. 3003, or email one of the following:
The OASD moved the WIAA fall sports seasons to the alternative spring season. The start dates for the alternative spring seasons are found below along with the name and email address of the head coach. If you have not already contacted the appropriate head coach please do so ASAP so that you get on the email list for important information. The athletic director will be using the lists provided by the coaches to email out eligibility paperwork information as we will not be holding in person meetings this spring. Even if you have turned in paperwork in the fall the district has two updated forms that will need to be turned in: the covid acknowledgement form and the covid waiver form. These two forms can be found on the Oshkosh West athletics website using the following link: https://oshkosh-west-
Parents and students, if you have previously had covid the district requires that you follow a return to play protocol for participating in high school athletics. This will require a student taking the OASD GRADUATED RETURN TO PLAY CHECKLIST For Positive Case of Covid-19 to a doctor to get cleared to return to athletic competition. Please note the athlete may need to follow work with one of the high school athletic trainers on a return to play progression before getting fully cleared to begin practice for a high school sport. Please contact Brad Jodarski with any additional questions.
Please note when filling out the covid waiver form please list all activities and/or sports your child will be participating in yet this school year as if a sport or activity is not listed on a previously turned in waiver form another waiver will need to be turned in. Finally, the covid19-return to athletics guidelines have recently been updated and the revised guidelines are available at the link referenced above. Thanks and please contact Brad Jodarski with any questions at email@example.com.
Alternative Spring FVA and OASD Fall Sports Face Covering Protocols
The indoor sports (girls swimming, girls tennis and volleyball) will require all coaches and athletes to wear a mask at all times (except when the swimmers are swimming in the water). All spectators, officials and game workers are required to wear a mask at all times.
For the outdoor sports - cross country, football, girls golf, boys soccer, girls tennis - coaches must wear a mask at all times. Athletes in these sports must wear a mask anytime they are not actively involved in practice and/or a game. When they are actively participating they do not have to wear a mask. Fall coaches may ask their athletes to wear a mask while actively participating in practices as an additional safety measure. All spectators, officials and game workers are required to wear a mask at all times.

wi.us start date - March 29th
The OASD is once again participating in the Technology Education and Literacy in Schools (TEALS) program in the 2020-2021 school year. TEALS is a Microsoft Philanthropies program that connects classroom teachers with tech-industry volunteers to create sustainable computer science programs at high schools. This unique program places passionate technology professionals into high school classrooms as volunteer instructors working with OASD classroom teachers - Mr. Waid at Oshkosh North High School and Mr. Bartel at Oshkosh West High School. The 2021-22 school year will be the third year of our partnership with TEALS.
If you or someone you know works in the computer science or software engineering field and would be interested in making a difference in our students’ future success, please contact Vicki Porior at email@example.com. Or feel free to forward this request to technical industry professionals in your network. To learn more about the TEALS program visit www.tealsk12.org.
Thank you in advance for your help as we strive to provide our students with the latest computer science education and support.
