The Oshkosh Area School District’s Annual Student Update (Enrollment/Registration) for returning K-12 students and for new 4K students will take place April 1 - September 1, 2025. Students must be enrolled by September 1. While the deadline is September 1, we encourage you to complete this process as soon as possible to secure your child's spot for the next school year.

Your child’s school for the 2025-2026 school year will be listed in IC. If you have recently moved or if you were involuntarily transferred due to space limitations at your home school, please be sure to check this as it may be different from where your child is currently attending. 

This annual enrollment process is mandatory, and your student's place at their school will be reserved for the upcoming academic year. You'll update your demographic and contact information through the Infinite Campus (IC) Parent Portal.

• In-Person Support: If you need in-person assistance, access to a device, or the internet, attend our Central Registration Day at Vel Phillips Middle School on August 6, 2025. More information will be provided in the coming months.
• ESOL and Multilingual Support: Our English Speakers of Other Languages staff are also hosting two in-person registration support events for ESOL and multilingual families.

  • May 9 from 10 AM - 3 PM at Vel Phillips Middle School

Over a hundred students' artwork will be displayed at the Art in the Garden Show at the Hilton Garden Inn this weekend. The work will be displayed Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The show is community-judged, so visitors can decide which pieces are the winners. The awards ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Please come and support the arts and see what our talented students have created.

The UW Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services is excited to announce Aspiring Titan Teachers Day on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 9:30am to 2:00 pm on the UW Oshkosh Campus!  

This event is intended for all students who are interested in pursuing education and human services, including members of Educators Rising, as a possible career. Students will spend the day learning about how to become a teacher, attending a mini course, touring the campus, interacting with a panel of pre-service teachers, and meeting some of their future professors. The Office of Pre-College is excited to present an incredible opportunity for students to ignite their passion for the arts through the Explore the Arts dual credit program. Please review the information below.

Explore the Arts in June 2025: 
The Explore the Arts program offers an enriching experience that includes classes, activities, and faculty mentorship for students passionate about art, music, theatre, and film production. This program is designed for aspiring artists who are eager to develop their artistic skills and learn about potential careers in the arts.

Choose Your Emphasis: Art, Film, Music, or Theatre

ART:

• Art 111: Drawing (3 credit hours)
• TBD: Art 101: 2-D Design or Art 103: 3-D Design (3 credit hours)
• Weekly experiences will be provided for all members of the Arts Track cohort.

FILM:

Experience all aspects of filmmaking, including creating your own short film from start to finish. Learn about screenwriting, directing, cinematography, sound design, and editing.

Participate in weekly lessons on string, woodwind, brass, percussion, or piano with UM faculty, play in both large and small ensembles, and explore music history and literature. This intensive experience will culminate in a final performance for family, friends, and community members.

1. An endorsement/recommendation letter from a public-school teacher, private teacher, community member, or professional.
2. A sample of work (e.g., monologue, musical selection, photos, artwork). Self-recorded pieces and works in progress are acceptable.
3. A statement of 100 words describing your submitted work and/or your aspirations as an artist.

• AniManga Club | Weekly, Thursday @ 4pm | Explore Anime and Manga! Watch and read with the group. We meet weekly, Thursday 4-5pm. *No session March 27^th 

• TAB (Teen Advisory Board) | Next meeting April 2^nd 4:30pm | Make your voice heard! Help shape programs and our book collection. We meet monthly on the first Wednesday at 4:30pm.

• There's still time to sign up for Young Adult Book Club (10th-12th grades)! Our next meeting is April 11^th and we are reading Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross. Sign up online at oshkoshlibrary.org to reserve your spot and your free book!

 

 

The Oshkosh Recreation Department is hiring Lifeguards for the summer season.  Must be at least 15 years of age. Rate of pay is $17.75/hour.

The OASD Maintenance Department is currently looking for individuals who are interested in working on our summer team. We will be hiring the following positions:

• Mow Team Member - Two total positions
  • Running a zero turn mower and trimming
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must be at least 18 years old

• Assistant Groundskeeper/Landscaper - Two total positions
  • Haul wood chips, plantings, weeding, fill holes, trim work, etc.
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Preferably at least 18 years old, but other applicants will be considered

• Painter's Assistant
  • Help with painting and wall repairs
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Preferably at least 18 years old, but other applicants will be considered

• We offer 40 hours a week, no nights, and no weekends.
