From the Health Office

All medications are to be picked up by the parent/guardian or permission given to send
home with your student, on or before the last day of school. Our policy will not allow
us to keep them for the next school year.

If your child has a current health plan or emergency plan on file with the school, you will
receive a copy during the summer to update for the upcoming school year.

If your child has a change in their health or has a healthcare need at school, please
contact our school district nurse, Stefanie Rebholz via email during the summer and she
will contact you at the beginning of the school year to discuss.

If your child will need to take medication at school, please work with your doctor to have
the following form completed and signed before the start of the school year. As a
reminder, the directions on the medication bottle must match the written order on the
medication request form.

If you have a child with a severe allergy and/or asthma, or seizures the following forms
will need to be completed for our school nurse. Inhalers, Epi-Pens, Allergy medications,
etc., must be in their original containers. Expiration dates will be monitored.

12th Grade Immunization Requirement

If your child will be in 12th grade during the 2025/2026 school year, we need to have dates
of two ACWY-containing meningitis vaccines, unless the first dose was given after your
child was 16 years old. Parents may sign a personal conviction or religious waiver for these
meningitis vaccines, just as they may for other vaccinations, or have a medical waiver
signed by a healthcare practitioner. Immunization Form

HIGH SCHOOL MEAL SERVICES
2025-2026

All students at the High Schools are able to eat 1 free breakfast combo and 1 free lunch combo.

A LA CARTE SERVICE AT THE HIGH SCHOOLS is available to all students. A la carte items are NOT included with the meals. All A la carte items must be paid for and can be purchased using their Food Service Account (if there is money in their account). If they do not have money on their Food Service Account they are able to pay cash or use credit / debit cards at the registers. A la carte items include but are not limited to chips, juice drinks, ice cream, cookies, and PB & J uncrustables. Extra entrees would be included as an a la carte item. (example of an extra entrée would be an extra slice of pizza etc). All items sold from Food Service follow the nutritional guidelines put forth by the Federal Government.

APPLICATIONS FOR FREE AND REDUCED PRICE MEALS will be available online on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal in mid-July and will also be mailed out in the US mail to all households in mid-July.  Please return your completed application to the Food Services Office, Oshkosh West High School, 375 N. Eagle St., Oshkosh, WI  54902, or the School Office your child attends on or before the first day of school.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN THE SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

The food service department is seeking individuals to work for our department serving breakfast and / or lunch. The majority of these positions available are 1.5 - 2 hours in length and are during the breakfast and lunch service time, which varies with the school. Opportunities for longer shifts and additional hours may also be available. The Oshkosh Area School District’s Annual Student Update (Enrollment/Registration) for returning K-12 students and for new 4K students will take place April 1 - September 1, 2025. Students must be enrolled by September 1. While the deadline is September 1, we encourage you to complete this process as soon as possible to secure your child's spot for the next school year.

Your child’s school for the 2025-2026 school year will be listed in IC. If you have recently moved or if you were involuntarily transferred due to space limitations at your home school, please be sure to check this as it may be different from where your child is currently attending. 

This annual enrollment process is mandatory, and your student's place at their school will be reserved for the upcoming academic year. You'll update your demographic and contact information through the Infinite Campus (IC) Parent Portal.

The Office of Pre-College is excited to present an incredible opportunity for students to ignite their passion for the arts through the Explore the Arts dual credit program. Please review the information below.

Explore the Arts in June 2025: 
The Explore the Arts program offers an enriching experience that includes classes, activities, and faculty mentorship for students passionate about art, music, theatre, and film production. This program is designed for aspiring artists who are eager to develop their artistic skills and learn about potential careers in the arts.

Choose Your Emphasis: Art, Film, Music, or Theatre

ART:

• Art 111: Drawing (3 credit hours)
• TBD: Art 101: 2-D Design or Art 103: 3-D Design (3 credit hours)
• Weekly experiences will be provided for all members of the Arts Track cohort.

FILM:

Experience all aspects of filmmaking, including creating your own short film from start to finish. Learn about screenwriting, directing, cinematography, sound design, and editing.
